“Nice to meet you! My name is Emily and I am the Founder, Company Owner & Head Princess of Sing & Sparkle. I grew up in Totton, a town on the edge of the New Forest, near Southampton (Hampshire). I trained professionally in Musical Theatre for 4 years at the Guildford School of Acting (GSA) and The Urdang Academy. I was also incredibly lucky to have been awarded the Andrew Lloyd Webber Scholarship for my tuition, which was so special. My training gave me the exposure to sign a Top Agent, and land multiple leading lady roles, in Musicals on both land and sea. I have worked for cruise lines like Royal Caribbean, where I performed as Sandy in Grease on the largest ship in the world. And also Norwegian Cruise Line, where I played Sherrie in Rock of Ages. I got to travel the world (and get paid to do it), and I made the most incredible memories. I also played Sophie in the Cyprus premiere of the smash hit musical Mamma Mia. All of these wonderful contracts, allowed me to really learn my craft, and give me the skills, discipline and talents I have today. I’m so very grateful for this.
So you’re probably thinking why Princess Parties? Well… as much as I love Musical Theatre, it was an extremely lonely and unpredictable industry. So I reached a stage in my life, where I needed a change, and why not combine two of my favourite things? Princesses & Singing! As someone who has also been lucky enough to work for the Mouse, and has visited him multiple times in his many foreign Kingdoms, I know the standard needed to authentically portray these characters. Which led me to create a company that would allow me to share my talents, and also bring a bit of extra sparkle and magic to your little people! I am SO incredibly proud of how far my little company has already come, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds.”
